Should Personal Finance Become Required Education?
July 29, 2008 by Heidi Franklin
We should begin to teach basic finance and economics from 1st grade forward. Many adults not only graduate high school without a basic knowledge of finance and economics, but many of our college grads don’t have a clue either. College students end up graduating with credit cards loaded to the max. If we revamped the educational system to place more emphasis on these subjects we might not have the extreme boom and bust cycles we see repeated time and time again in our economy.
